BEST EVER Sugar Cookie

Ingredients

  • 3C flour
  • 2t baking powder
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 1C unsalted butter
  • margarine
  • 2 lg. eggs
  • 2t vanilla
  • 2t grated lemon rind

Instructions

  1. STEP ONE On wax paper put 2.5 C flour, bp and salt.
  2. In a large bowl cream the butter and sugar until light yellow and fluffy.
  3. STEP TWO Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then vanilla and lemon rind.
  4. Stir in the flour mixture with a wooden spoon.
  5. Divide into three pieces and wrap each in plastic wrap.
  6. Refrigerate at least 2 hours.
  7. STEP THREE Preheat oven to 350, butter three cookie sheets, roll out with cutters and decorate.
  8. Bake 8-10 minutes until sides start turning brown....(Im pretty sure I only cooked them for 8 minutes and they really werent brown at all.
  9. You can make these a bit thicker as well.)
