Ingredients

  • 4 c. sugar
  • 2 c. milk
  • dash of salt
  • 2 Tbsp. peanut butter
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 6 big marshmallows
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa
  • dash of vanilla
  • 1 stick butter

Instructions

  1. Cook sugar, milk, salt, and cocoa until a soft ball forms when dropped into cold water.
  2. Add butter and peanut butter and beat with a mixer until the mixture gets thick.
  3. Add nuts and marshmallows.
  4. Spread in a shallow pan and cool.

Tips & Substitutions

For a smoother texture, ensure the sugar fully dissolves before adding the butter and peanut butter. If you want to reduce sweetness, consider using dark chocolate instead of cocoa. You can also substitute the nuts with seeds for a nut-free version, or add a pinch of cinnamon for extra flavor. This fudge pairs wonderfully with a warm slice of Spiced Raisin Pound Cake.

Serving Suggestions

Cut the fudge into small squares for easy serving and consider garnishing with a sprinkle of sea salt for an enhanced flavor profile. It goes well with a glass of cold milk or can be served alongside coffee. For a themed dessert table, pair it with Jane'S Pear Bread for a delightful treat.

Storage & Reheating

Store leftover fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. To keep it fresh longer, refrigerate it, where it can last for up to two weeks. If you want to enjoy it warm, simply microwave individual pieces for a few seconds until slightly melted.
