Bi-Cracky Bars are rich, layered chocolate and walnut bars with a crunchy cracker base, perfect for satisfying sweet tooth cravings and sharing at gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • Graham crackers
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1 ounce unsweetened chocolate
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Cream the margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
  3. Blend in the dry ingredients with the creamed mixture.
  4. Divide the batter into two portions.
  5. In one portion, stir in 1 ounce of unsweetened chocolate and walnuts.
  6. In the other portion, fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Spread one-third of the chocolate batter in a well-greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  8. Arrange graham crackers on top of the chocolate batter.
  9. Spread the white batter (with chocolate chips) over the graham crackers.
  10. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 to 25 minutes.
  11. Cut into bars and serve.
