Ingredients

  • 4 or 5 lb. roast
  • 1 medium size bottle barbecue sauce
  • 1 small bottle catsup
  • 4 Tbsp. mustard
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 medium onions
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 bay leaves

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except the roast in a bowl to make the sauce.
  2. Place the roast in a roaster and pour the sauce over it.
  3. Cover tightly and bake at 350°F for 4 to 5 hours or until the meat easily pulls apart with a fork.
  4. Allow the meat to cool slightly, then remove any gristle or bone.
  5. Remove the bay leaves from the sauce.
  6. Shred the meat and stir it into the sauce to combine.
  7. Reheat the barbecue and serve on fresh bakery buns.
