Ingredients

  • 2 lb. lean hamburger
  • 1 small head cabbage
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • 1 tsp. red pepper
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 pkg. Texas size frozen rolls
  • 3 c. shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the hamburger meat and drain excess fat.
  2. Add spices (celery seed, red pepper, black pepper) to the meat and mix well.
  3. Add chopped cabbage and onion to the meat mixture and cook for 15 minutes, adding water if necessary.
  4. Roll thawed rolls on a floured board to a 6-inch square.
  5. Place a spoonful of cheese and 1/2 cup of the hamburger mixture on each roll.
  6. Gather up three sides of the roll, then the remaining side, and pinch together to seal.
  7. Lay the pinched side down on a greased baking sheet.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
