Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar together.
- Add egg and almond extract to the creamed mixture.
- Sift in flour, salt, and baking powder into the mixture.
- Add oil and water to the dough.
- Mix in nuts.
- Divide the stiff dough into 3 logs and place on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake at 350°F for 26 to 29 minutes until lightly browned.
- Remove from oven and slice diagonally into 3/8-inch pieces.
- Toast slices again if you prefer a crisp cookie.
