Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate bits
  • 2 cups chopped nuts
  • 1 cup chopped dates
  • 1 cup maraschino cherries, cut in halves

Instructions

  1. Mix dry ingredients and add fruit, nuts, and chocolate bits.
  2. Beat eggs and gradually add sugar.
  3. Combine all ingredients thoroughly.
  4. Pour batter into a loaf pan.
  5. Bake at 325°F for 1 to 1½ hours.
