Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 2 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 2/3 cups sifted flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 6 ounces (1 cup) butterscotch flavored morsels
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan.
  2. Stir in brown sugar, then remove from heat and cool for 10 minutes.
  3. Add eggs and beat until smooth.
  4. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Stir the sifted dry ingredients into the butter mixture.
  6. Add butterscotch morsels and chopped nuts, then mix well.
  7. Spread the batter evenly in a greased 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan.
  8. Bake in a 350°F oven for about 25 minutes.
  9. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
