Black Bean Donuts
Ingredients
- 15 ounces black beans ⓘ
- 2 tablespoons almond milk ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon baking powder ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda ⓘ
- 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon vanilla ⓘ
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon salt ⓘ
- 1/2 - 2/3 cup granulated artificial artificial sweetener or 1/2-2/3 cup sugar ⓘ
- 1/4 cup oat flour ⓘ
- 1 egg ⓘ
- 3 tablespoons applesauce ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon peanut butter ⓘ
- 1 cup powdered sugar ⓘ
- 3 tablespoons milk ⓘ
Instructions
- Blend all donut ingredients together in a food processor or blender.
- Transfer batter to donut pans sprayed with cooking spray.
- Bake at 350 Fahrenheit for about 10 minutes (until a toothpick comes out clean).
- While they bake, prepare your glaze by mixing ingredients together and adjusting consistency adding milk to thin out and powdered sugar to thicken.
- Immediately remove from the pan (when it's a safe temperature to touch) and dip into a bowl of the glaze. Transfer to a baking rack and allow the donut to cool and glaze to harden.
