Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 heaping teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Mix all dry ingredients together in a bowl.
  2. Add wet ingredients: molasses, eggs, and cooking oil.
  3. Pour in hot tea last and mix until well combined.
  4. Fold in blueberries gently.
  5. Pour batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan or fill muffin tins.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) until done, about 20 to 25 minutes for the pan, less for muffins.
  7. Use a cake tester to check doneness.
