Ingredients

  • 2 lb. potatoes, peeled and cut up
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped kale
  • 2 c. water
  • salt
  • 1/2 lb. Polish sausage, cut into bite size pieces
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • pepper
  • prepared mustard

Instructions

  1. In a Dutch oven or large kettle, bring to a boil the potatoes, kale, water, and salt to taste.
  2. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until tender.
  3. Drain off the water.
  4. Add milk, butter, sausage, and pepper to taste.
  5. Cover and simmer gently for about 15 minutes or until the sausage is heated through.
  6. Spoon the potatoes and kale into the center of a serving dish.
  7. Serve with mustard.
