Ingredients

  • 2 large cans baked beans
  • 1 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1 large chopped onion
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup catsup or chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 1/4 cup strong coffee

Instructions

  1. Saute ground beef and chopped onion until browned.
  2. Combine cooked meat mixture with chili sauce or catsup and mix well.
  3. Layer baked beans and meat mixture alternately in a baking dish.
  4. Pour coffee over the layered mixture, then add brandy on top without mixing.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes, uncovered, until bubbly and browned.
