Ingredients

  • 6 egg yolks
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 6 Tbsp melted butter
  • 3/4 c. chopped walnuts
  • 6 Tbsp cold water
  • 2 c bread crumbs
  • 6 egg whites
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Beat egg yolks and cold water until thick and yellow.
  2. Add sugar; beat well.
  3. Add the melted butter, chopped walnuts, and vanilla; mix thoroughly.
  4. Fold in the beaten egg whites gently.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased and floured baking pan.
  6. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
