Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped fine
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 6 to 8 whole cloves
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. white bread crumbs or regular white bread, broken into small pieces

Instructions

  1. Put chopped onion into a frypan with butter.
  2. Add pepper and salt.
  3. Stir.
  4. Add milk and bread crumbs; simmer over medium-low heat until the sauce thickens a little.
  5. Serve over chicken or fish.
