Ingredients

  • 1 lb. pork sausage
  • 10 oz. frozen, cut broccoli
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar or Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans crescent dinner rolls
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Cook sausage in a medium skillet; drain well.
  2. Add broccoli, cheese, onion, sour cream, and pepper to the skillet.
  3. Mix well and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Separate the crescent dough into 4 long rectangles on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  5. Overlap the long sides of the rectangles.
  6. Spoon the meat mixture down the center of each rectangle.
  7. Fold the strips over the filling to enclose it.
  8. Mix the beaten egg with 1 tablespoon of water and brush over the dough.
  9. Sprinkle sesame seed on top.
  10. Bake at 375°F for 18 to 22 minutes, until deep golden brown.
