Ingredients

  • 2 c. milk
  • 6 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
  • 3 Tbsp. margarine or butter
  • 1/4 c. green onions, sliced
  • 2 c. fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. thyme, crushed
  • 10 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 oz. Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 10 oz. fresh broccoli, cooked and drained

Instructions

  1. Melt margarine in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir in flour, milk, green onions, salt, dry mustard, and thyme; cook, stirring constantly, until mixture boils and thickens.
  3. Reduce heat to low and add shredded Monterey Jack cheese; cook about 1 minute until cheese is melted.
  4. In an ungreased 13 x 9-inch baking dish, layer one-third of the sauce on the bottom.
  5. Add a layer of cooked lasagna noodles, followed by cooked broccoli, shredded Cheddar cheese, and more sauce.
  6. Repeat layers to make two layers, ending with a layer of sauce on top.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes until hot and bubbly.
