Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. plain flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. margarine, melted
  • 2/3 c. cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and beat until blended.
  2. Spread the batter in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  3. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes, being careful not to overbake.
  4. Cool completely and cut into 1 1/2-inch squares.
