Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked ham, chopped
  • 1 (10 oz.) package frozen chopped broccoli, cooked and drained
  • 3 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 12 oz. sliced sharp cheese
  • 6 beaten eggs
  • 2 teaspoons minced onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Use a donut cutter to cut out 'donuts' and holes from the bread. Save the donuts and holes; place the remaining bread scraps on the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch sprayed baking dish.
  2. Layer the cheese, ham (or sausage or bacon), and cooked broccoli in the dish.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the eggs, milk, minced onion, salt, and dry mustard.
  4. Place the donuts and holes on top of the layered ingredients in the dish.
  5. Pour the milk mixture over the entire dish.
  6. Refrigerate overnight.
  7. Bake at 325°F for 55 minutes until golden and set.
