Ingredients

  • 5 Tbsp butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp lite salt
  • 1 c chopped pecans
  • 1 (9-inch) pie crust
  • 12 pecan halves
  • 1/2 c dark brown sugar
  • 1 c corn syrup
  • 1 Tbsp bourbon
  • 1 Tbsp all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Cream the butter and dark brown sugar, beating until the mixture is fluffy.
  3. Gradually add the eggs, beating after each addition.
  4. Add the corn syrup, lite salt, and bourbon to the mixture.
  5. Coat the chopped pecans in the all-purpose flour and add to the filling.
  6. Pour the filling into the pie crust.
  7. Arrange the pecan halves on top of the filling.
  8. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until the filling is firm.
