Buffet Chicken Casserole
Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine ⓘ
- 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. salt ⓘ
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper ⓘ
- several dashes hot pepper sauce ⓘ
- 2 c. chicken broth ⓘ
- 1 c. half and half milk ⓘ
- 1 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese ⓘ
- 2 c. cooked chicken (meat cut from bone in large pieces) ⓘ
- 3 Tbsp. lemon juice ⓘ
- 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms ⓘ
- 8 oz. thin spaghetti ⓘ
Instructions
- Melt butter in a medium saucepan; stir in flour, salt, pepper and hot sauce.
- Cook over medium heat for 2 minutes, stirring slowly; add chicken broth (stirring).
- Cook until slightly thickened.
