Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups sifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and brown sugar together.
  2. Add eggs, then the rest of the ingredients.
  3. Roll dough into marble-sized balls.
  4. Place on greased cookie sheet and press with a fork.
  5. Place a cherry half on each cookie.
  6. Bake at 350°F until lightly browned.
