Ingredients

  • 1/2 stick butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup Crisco
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan with Crisco.
  2. Beat eggs until light.
  3. Beat in sugars, vanilla, butter, and Crisco until creamy.
  4. In a large bowl, combine flour with baking powder and salt.
  5. Add sugar mixture to the flour mixture.
  6. Mix on low speed and fold in pecans.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes.
