Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. broken pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and egg; mix well.
  3. Add flour, buttermilk, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; stir until just combined.
  4. Fold in broken pecans evenly into the batter.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before removing from the pan and serving.
