- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Sift flour, baking soda, and salt onto waxed paper.
- Cream margarine and brown sugar with electric mixer at medium speed until fluffy.
- Beat in eggs, one at a time, until fluffy.
- Stir in vanilla.
- Add flour mixture, one third at a time, until well blended.
- Stir in rolled oats, rice cereal, and chopped walnuts.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls, about 1 inch apart, onto large cookie sheets lightly sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until cookies are firm and lightly golden.
- Remove from oven and transfer to wire racks to cool.
