Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon caraway seed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Saute cabbage and onions in butter until tender.
  2. Stir in flour, caraway seed, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Remove from heat; gradually stir in milk.
  4. Bring to a boil over medium heat and add shredded Cheddar cheese.
  5. Stir until cheese is melted.
  6. Return to heat if necessary to melt cheese but do not boil.
