Tips & Substitutions

For extra flavor, consider adding spices like cayenne pepper or smoked paprika to the batter. If you don’t have crawfish, shrimp or crab can be great substitutes. Make sure to finely chop the onions and jalapenos to distribute their flavors evenly throughout the cornbread. If you prefer a spicier kick, leave some seeds in the jalapenos.

Serving Suggestions

Serve the cornbread warm, ideally with a side of your favorite seafood recipes like a refreshing salad or a spicy dipping sauce. It pairs beautifully with Flavorful Fish or can be enjoyed alongside a hearty bowl of gumbo for a complete meal. Consider garnishing with fresh chopped herbs for an added touch.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftover Cajun crawfish cornbread in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place slices in the microwave for 30-60 seconds or warm in the oven at 350°F until heated through. It can also be enjoyed cold or at room temperature.
