Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup mashed avocado
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • dash of cloves
  • dash of cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar together until smooth.
  2. Add eggs and beaten well, mixing thoroughly.
  3. Stir in mashed avocado mixed with lemon juice.
  4. Gradually add all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, cloves, and cinnamon, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in chopped nuts.
  6. Pour batter into a medium loaf pan.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes.
  8. Reduce oven temperature to 325°F (160°C) and continue baking for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
