A hearty campfire meal featuring sliced potatoes, carrots, and hamburger, seasoned to perfection, ideal for outdoor adventures and simple, satisfying dinners around the fire.

Ingredients

  • 1 potato, sliced into 1/4-inch slices
  • 1 carrot, sliced into 1/4-inch slices
  • 1/4 lb. hamburger patty
  • 1 small onion (optional)
  • 2 pats butter or margarine
  • seasoned salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Take a double layer of heavy aluminum foil; place all ingredients on the foil.
  2. Sprinkle with seasoned salt and pepper. Close the foil, making sure all edges are sealed.
  3. Place on hot coals in the campfire, or on a wire grate close to the fire.
  4. Cook for about 45 minutes until ingredients are tender.
