Ingredients

  • 2 prepared 9-inch pie crusts
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 2 (No. 2) cans sliced peaches
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Mix together sugar, salt, spices, and flour.
  2. Lightly combine the mixture with the peaches.
  3. Fill the prepared pastry-lined pie pan with the peach filling.
  4. Melt the butter and lemon juice.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter mixture over the pie filling.
  6. Adjust the top crust and vent with fork prongs on top of the crust.
  7. Seal the edges of the crust.
  8. Bake at 450°F for 10 minutes or until the crust is nicely browned.
  9. Cool before slicing.
