Ingredients

  • 2 qt. water
  • 1 c. carrots, chopped
  • 2 c. butter beans
  • 2 gal. peeled and cut up tomatoes
  • 6 chopped onions
  • 2 pods chopped hot pepper (remove seeds)
  • 4 pods chopped sweet pepper (remove seeds)
  • 16 ears corn
  • 7 cubed potatoes
  • 1 qt. cut okra
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 5 Tbsp. plain salt

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large container and put over heat.
  2. Bring to a boil, then lower heat to medium and continue to boil for 30 minutes.
  3. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
