  • 3 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 c. wheat germ
  • 2 1/2 c. oatmeal
  • 1/8 c. peanut oil
  • 1/8 c. corn oil margarine
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 oz. carob chips, melted
  • 1/4 c. molasses
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. powdered milk

Instructions

  1. Mix the whole wheat flour, wheat germ, oatmeal, and powdered milk in a large bowl.
  2. Add peanut oil, corn oil margarine, brown sugar, melted carob chips, molasses, and water; mix until well blended.
  3. Chill the dough until firm.
  4. Roll the chilled dough on a greased cookie pan to about 1/2-inch thickness.
  5. Cut into shapes as desired.
  6. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 1 hour until firm and dry.
  7. Allow to cool before serving.
