Creamy, rich chocolate fudge with nuts and vanilla, perfect for satisfying sweet cravings and sharing at gatherings or as a homemade treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 3 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 large can evaporated milk
  • 3 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
  • dash of salt
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Melt chocolate chips and margarine in a warm oven.
  2. Mix white sugar, brown sugar, evaporated milk, Karo syrup, and a dash of salt in a saucepan.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 11 minutes.
  4. Add the melted chocolate chips and margarine to the boiling mixture.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract.
  6. Beat the mixture until it begins to thicken.
  7. Pour the fudge onto buttered foil or brown paper to cool and set.
