- Drain the pineapple, reserving the juice.
- Dissolve the lime jello in boiling water.
- Add the reserved pineapple juice to the dissolved jello.
- Cool until slightly thickened, like thick syrup.
- Beat the mixture until frothy using an egg beater.
- Fold in the pineapple, cottage cheese, mayonnaise, and chopped nuts.
- Pour the mixture into a 13 x 9-inch or mold or square pan.
- Refrigerate until firm.
