Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of celery soup
  • 1 (3 oz.) package cream cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 4 cups frozen hash brown potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. In a small skillet, melt the margarine.
  2. Add chopped onion and cook until tender.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the condensed cream of celery soup and cream cheese together until smooth.
  4. Stir in salt, pepper, cooked onion, and frozen hash brown potatoes.
  5. Turn the mixture into a 1 1/2-quart casserole or baking dish.
  6. Top with shredded sharp Cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake in a 350°F oven for 1 hour.
