- Separate cauliflower into florets and wash them.
- Boil the florets until just tender, then drain.
- In a deep bowl, beat the eggs.
- Add milk, flour, grated Romano or Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper to the eggs and mix until smooth.
- Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, coating well.
- Heat oil in a frying pan.
- Using a large spoon, scoop up the battered florets and carefully drop them into hot oil.
- Cook until golden brown, turning to brown evenly.
- Remove the cauliflower puffs and drain on paper towels.
- Serve while still warm.
