Ingredients

  • 4 rabbits, quartered
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 1/2 Tbsp pepper
  • 1 Tbsp paprika
  • 1 Tbsp light brown sugar
  • 1 cup chili sauce
  • 1/3 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle the rabbit quarters with garlic salt, salt, and pepper. Brown both sides in a skillet.
  2. Chop a large onion; peel and chop 1 apple.
  3. Add the chopped onion and apple to the skillet and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Spoon the onion and apple mixture over the browned rabbit pieces.
  5. Add 1 can of beer to the skillet or baking dish.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 1/2 hours or until the rabbit is tender.
  7. If additional liquid is needed during baking, add more beer.
