Ingredients

  • 4 to 4 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 packages yeast
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasons
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water
  • 2 eggs
  • 8 ounces fancy shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 4 ounces canned diced green chilies, drained
  • 2 ounces jar sliced pimentos, drained

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine 2 cups flour, undissolved yeast, Italian seasons, garlic, and 1 1/2 teaspoons salt; stir in hot water.
  2. Beat for 2 minutes at medium speed, scraping the bowl occasionally.
  3. Add eggs and 1/2 cup flour; beat for 2 minutes with a spoon.
  4. Stir in 1 cup cheese and enough additional flour to make a soft dough.
  5. Cover and let rest for 20 minutes.
