Ingredients

  • 15 oz. refrigerated pie crust
  • 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pickle (optional)
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Let the pie crust pouch stand at room temperature for 15-20 minutes.
  2. In a skillet, cook the lean ground beef until browned.
  3. Add chopped onion to the beef and cook until softened.
  4. Stir in ketchup, chopped pickles (if desired), and pepper.
  5. Simmer the mixture for a few minutes to combine flavors.
  6. Roll out the refrigerated pie crust and fit it into a pie dish.
