Ingredients

  • 2 slices bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 2 Tbsp chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp chopped celery
  • 1 (8 1/2 oz.) can cream-style corn
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp seasoned salt
  • dash pepper
  • 2 Tbsp shredded cheese
  • snipped parsley

Instructions

  1. Fry bacon in a 1 1/2-quart saucepan until crisp; remove and drain.
  2. Remove all but 1 tablespoon bacon fat from the saucepan.
  3. Stir onion and celery into the fat.
  4. Cook and stir until the onion is tender.
  5. Stir in corn, milk, seasoned salt, and pepper.
  6. Heat to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally.
