Tips & Substitutions

For a twist, consider using turkey or roast beef instead of chicken or ham. You can also substitute the Swiss cheese with cheddar or provolone based on your preference. If you want extra flavor, mix in some herbs or spices into the salad dressing. Don't forget to hollow out the rolls thoroughly to create enough space for all the delicious fillings.

Serving Suggestions

These sandwiches make a perfect picnic lunch or quick dinner option. Serve with a side of potato chips or a fresh fruit salad for a balanced meal. You can also pair them with a light soup, like Wild Rice Ham And Cheese Soup, for a comforting combination. For an extra crunch, add pickles or olives on the side.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. To reheat, carefully unwrap the rolls and place the fillings on a microwave-safe plate. Heat for 30-60 seconds until warmed through, then reassemble the sandwich. Note that the texture may change slightly after reheating.
