- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a large baking sheet.
- Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Cut in butter until coarse crumbs form.
- Stir in chopped almonds and cherries.
- Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
- If mixture is crumbly or dry, add milk a tablespoon at a time until dough comes together.
- Shape dough into a log on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until golden.
- Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then slice into biscotti.
- Return slices to baking sheet and bake for an additional 10 minutes to crisp.
