Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 large can milk
  • 1 pkg. frozen coconut
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 c. chopped cherries
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavor
  • 2 Tbsp. butter

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, egg yolks, and milk in a saucepan.
  2. Cook until the mixture thickens.
  3. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  4. Add chopped cherries, pecans, coconut, vanilla flavor, and butter to the cooled mixture.
  5. Use as a filling over a yellow cake or other dessert base.
