Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 (12 oz.) container Cool Whip, thawed
  • 3 (3.5 oz.) packages instant chocolate pudding mix

Instructions

  1. Cut butter into flour with a pastry blender or fork until mixture resembles coarse meal.
  2. Stir in chopped pecans.
  3. Press mixture onto the bottom of a 13x9 inch pan.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
  5. Allow to cool.
  6. Beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and 1 cup of thawed Cool Whip at medium speed until smooth.
  7. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust.
  8. Whisk together the pudding mix and milk for 2 minutes or until smooth.
  9. Spread the pudding mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  10. Chill for 10 minutes.
  11. Spread the remaining whipped topping over the pudding layer.
  12. Cover and chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
  13. Cut into squares and serve.
