Ingredients

  • 1 box Duncan Hines yellow cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 stick soft butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Mix the cake mix, 1 egg, and butter together until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture into a rectangular cake pan.
  4. Press a cup of chopped nuts into the batter.
  5. Mix together 1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar, 2 eggs, softened cream cheese, and vanilla until smooth.
  6. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the batter and nuts.
  7. Bake for 1 hour or until set.
