Creamy chicken casserole with cornbread stuffing, sour cream, and chicken broth offers comforting flavors perfect for family dinners or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 pkg. Pepperidge Farm cornbread stuffing mix
  • 1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 stick margarine

Instructions

  1. Boil chicken until tender; save broth.
  2. Melt margarine and pour over stuffing mix.
  3. Mix and fluff with a fork.
  4. Put half of the dressing mixture in the bottom of a casserole dish.
  5. Break cooked chicken into bite-sized pieces and place on the dressing.
  6. Mix the cream of chicken soup and sour cream well.
  7. Spoon the soup and sour cream mixture over the chicken.
  8. Cover with the remaining dressing mixture.
  9. Pour chicken broth over the top and allow it to soak in.
  10. Bake at 325°F until hot and bubbly, about 30 minutes.
