Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • pepper to taste
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 chicken, cut up

Instructions

  1. Roll chicken in flour, salt, and pepper.
  2. In a large frying pan, brown chicken on all sides.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In a second bowl, mix eggs and milk until light, then add melted butter.
  5. Slowly blend the egg mixture into the dry mixture.
  6. Beat until smooth.
  7. Pour batter into a greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
  8. Place chicken in batter.
  9. Bake for 1 hour at 350°F (175°C).
