A hearty chicken casserole with Chinese noodles, mushrooms, water chestnuts, and cheese, baked in a creamy soup mixture—perfect for family dinners and comforting meals.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. Chinese noodles
  • 4 c. cooked chicken
  • 1/2 c. mushrooms, drained
  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts, drained
  • 1 c. grated cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. crushed corn flakes

Instructions

  1. Grease inside of foil tray well.
  2. Place noodles on the bottom of the tray.
  3. Top with cooked chicken, drained mushrooms, butter or margarine, drained water chestnuts, and grated cheese.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat eggs well and mix with milk, salt, and cream of celery soup.
  5. Pour the soup mixture over the layered ingredients.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 30 to 45 minutes until hot and bubbly.
