Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. chicken drumettes
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1 (1 oz.) envelope onion soup mix
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1 (8 oz.) container sour cream
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of chicken soup
  • hot biscuits

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle chicken with garlic powder and pepper.
  2. Melt margarine in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add chicken and cook until done, turning occasionally.
  4. Remove chicken and drain on paper towels.
  5. Keep chicken warm.
  6. Pour off drippings from the skillet.
  7. Reserve 1/4 cup of drippings in the skillet.
  8. Combine onion soup mix and water.
  9. Stir the mixture into the drippings and cook over low heat for 5 minutes.
  10. Combine sour cream and cream of chicken soup.
  11. Add the sour cream and soup mixture to the skillet.
  12. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring often.
  13. Serve over split biscuits.
