Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked chicken breasts
  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup
  • 1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
  • 2 cups diced celery
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 2 tablespoons grated onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 small cans water chestnuts, drained
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 cup sliced almonds
  • 2 cups crushed corn flakes

Instructions

  1. Combine cream of chicken soup, mayonnaise, diced celery, cooked rice, grated onion, salt, and drained water chestnuts in a bowl.
  2. Pour the mixture into a buttered 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  3. Melt the margarine in a skillet and add sliced almonds and crushed corn flakes.
  4. Sprinkle the toasted almond and corn flake mixture evenly over the casserole.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes until heated through and golden on top.
