Ingredients

  • 4 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 cup Italian seasoned dry breadcrumbs
  • 3 cups spaghetti sauce, divided
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Dip chicken breasts in beaten egg whites, then coat with Italian seasoned dry breadcrumbs, turning to evenly coat both sides.
  3. Place the coated chicken in a greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
  4. Bake at 400°F for 20 to 25 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
  5. Top the baked chicken with 2 cups of spaghetti sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  6. Sprinkle with dried oregano leaves.
  7. Bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the mozzarella cheese is melted.
  8. Serve over hot cooked pasta tossed with the remaining 1 cup of heated spaghetti sauce.
